Hey Peeps!!!

How are you? I have missed you...

I've been hibernating. The snow has been snowing and the wind has been exceptionally windy and I have stayed tucked away inside my home, snug and warm in my studio painting.

And Hello 2010!

I love new years day! I woke up this morning to a stillness that can only come from the absence of everyone else. It seems as though even the birds and squirrels that frequent my back deck every day were out partying till the wee hours of the morning. There's still no sign of them! All is still and silent.

I love to be the first one up to welcome the new year. To me, it's not just an other day. It's a starting point. A place I use to measure how far I've come exactly 365 days later. I am relentlessly addicted to progression and goals.

I woke up to find myself (literally. I had no idea where I was for a good 3 minutes this morning) in Santa Cruz. We drive to San Fransisco tonight then head to LA to finish up the tour.

We have been on tour with Joe Purdy now for a few weeks. He is as kind and gracious as his beard is fluffy. And if it was white, he would look exactly how I picture Santa looks in real life.

Speaking of Santa, I found some real crazy old Santas at a Santa museum in Santa Cruz!
