2012 is here already! In fact, it's February. I can't believe how fast time flies!

I'm pushing myself every day to write more honest songs. You probably wouldn't believe how hard it is to be honest to yourself... Maybe you would but that's what song writing is to me. And it's not easy. But hopefully I'll be a better songwriter for it.

Stay tuned as I go though the process of making another album and make many many more mini paintings...

I have been having the most wonderful summer! It's been crazy, but awesome. We just finished a 5 week tour where we stopped over in the US and did a cross Canada tour! And now we are in England! As a thank you for all you do for me, coming out to support my live shows, bringing me lots of treats, saying hello, buying copies of the Cricket's Orchestra for yourself and all your friends, buying Meaghan Smith T-shirts (these are almost sold out by the way!) and just generally being the best Peeps ever, I want to do a little something special for you.

I'm at my Uncle and Aunt's house right now in Saskatoon Saskatchewan (yes, it's a real place!). Jason is down stairs playing hide and seek with my cousin's little kids. They are squeeling and laughing and trying not to be loud, to no avail. So cute. We sound check in a few hours and then hit the stage. I am nervous about tonight. It takes courage to be on the road.

I do truly wish I had hundreds of guitars to give away. So many of you have shared such touching stories! Stories of people borrowing guitars, people playing music to help them heal from difficult experiences, lost or damaged guitars, upcoming and fantastic new talented peeps who could use a better instrument, more experienced but just as talented peeps who could use a new guitar… I really wish I could give one to you all. Choosing just one of you was an extremely difficult task for me and I want you to know that I didn't take it lightly.

The East Coast Music Awards happened last week and I won....

"Pop Album Of the Year!"

Rented a car, drove our butts off and made it to the ECMAs here in PEI just in time to talk to the lovely Peeps of the Press, catch the award show tonight and take home Best Pop Recording!!!

Along with my Best New Artist Juno Award, I was given a beautiful new Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500R Guitar! Isn't that awesome?? But you see, I have all the guitars I need... I only have two hands after all! And instead of keeping this guitar to myself, I want to give it away to someone else deserving and in need of the chance to become another Best New Artist!

I am in shock. Partly because I went to bed at 4 am and I'm now up at 7:30. My heart is bursting at the seams. It's throwing itself at my ribcage, trying to get out and see the beautiful world it feels.

Peeps from outside Canada, The Junos are the Canadian Grammys (for lack of a better way to describe them) and mostly I'm in shock because last night I won a Juno for Best New Artist!

This is my thankful list of people I couldn't thank on the tv broadcast because I had about 30 seconds to try to pull it together. Which I can't remember if I did or not.
